Summary
This full CG animation was commissioned by Sunset & Vine as part of their bid for Red Bull’s Air Race competition, which has stages in 9 different countries and is broadcast across the world. This project had a very open brief which allowed the team a lot of creative freedom, from concept and storyboard to final delivery in HD video. With a stylized look that lends itself to the existing brand, the sequence features a Red Bull plane dive into a race course that ultimately spans the entire globe and all the landmarks from the stages of the real courses.

Commissioned by APP Broadcast for Rolex as part of the Global Yacht Race events. This HD video features the popular Yacht Master II, the watch used to sponsor the competition. Modelled from reference images only, the watch is blown apart in a sequence that sees the inner workings of the time piece take on the form of sailings boats that race with one another through an abstract and surreal environment.

Dominic Littlewood and Jasmine Burtle are seamlessly integrated into a virtual learning environment as part of the BBC RAW online resource which was also created in-house by our Flash team. Using our greenscreen studio, film crew and state-of-the-art keying processes, we are able to provide immaculate extractions for compositing. The presenters feature throughout the online resource as virtual aids that guide the user through their journey.

This three part series sees Elin Manahan Thomas presenting various soprano singers in six different cities around Europe. Our brief for the title sequence was to produce a piece of motion design that complimented the sophisicated nature of the show with a 'warm, chocolate feel'. Filmed in-house, the footage was heavily colour graded and featured a a wealth of visual enhancements in post production including sky replacements, shot cleanup and particles effects.

Summary
Title sequence and programe branding for the Ralio+, a weekly show aired on S4C featuring a range of motorsport from Rallying to F1 to motorcross. After developing several style frames for the client to choose from, it was decided that the high-contrast use of mechanical parts and beams of light would best help convey the nature of the show. The high definition visuals combine well with high-adrenaline music to give the piece a real sense of speed.

This CG sequence was created as part of S4C’s coverage of the Welsh Football Association league in a commission by Sunset & Vine. The spot begins with a football forming from segments of the leather casing, which collide in 3D space amongst a plethora of motion graphics. The sequence features a fully-rigged Welsh Dragon emerging from the ball before taking to the skies. The video was delivered in HD and was backed up by a popular track by the Go! Team.

Filmed in our greenscreen studio, this music video brings a light-hearted, fun slant to learning about debt management for Learndirect. From concept and direction to the visual effects and the sountrack recording, all was done in-house. Using camera tracking technology to transfer the real camera data into 3D space, a virtual environment was created to bring a mock TV gameshow to life. Such productions are often possible at a fraction of the cost of doing versus traditional set building.

This 5 minute CG training video was created for the UCL Eastman Dental Institute as part of their post graduate course, which was backed up with an interactive DVD training resource also built in-house. The digital SLR camera was modelled from reference images to a photo-real standard that made it very easy for students to relate to. By showing the viewers the process of setting up a photo shot for dental analysis in a step by step manner, combined with an instructional voice over, made this initially complex subject matter very easy to digest.

Title sequence and programe branding for an S4C commission called Ras Yn Erbyn Amser (Race Against Time). Each series features an athlete take on an extreme challenge against time and the elements. In the first first series, Lowri Morgan competes in a 200k ultra marathon through the amazon jungle in temperatures in excess of forty degrees celsius. The striking visuals and dynamic movements are backed up by an equally strong soundtrack to give the brand a distinct look.

A 5 minute sequence promoting Swansea as a vibrant and dynamic waterside city with stunning beaches and coastline. The animation uses the brand’s logo as a vehicle to seamlessly mix between panoramic video shots of Swansea Bay and the 2D/3D motion graphics that provide the underlying messages. The Welsh Development Agency use this video both for opening presentations and on their promotional ‘A Bay Of Life’ DVD.
