For learning driven projects, we combine deep digital media capability and creativity with proven pedagogic principles and experience. We create education and e-Learning solutions that really ‘work’, demonstrably improving learning outcomes and business performance. We partner with some of the top education thinkers and institutions to gain the very best subject expertise and audience insight, then blend this expertise with our own creative, editorial, and technical capability to build products and services that can really make a difference.

We are also market leaders in video production, web streaming and animation. Tinopolis group’s TV production capability is world-class, empowering us to create corporate and commercial video content that far exceeds this industry’s standard-fare. Combine this with our partnership with 2 of the UK’s most capable providers of web hosting and streaming distribution and you can understand how and why we are approached to manage and deliver international streaming requirements for large global audiences on behalf of some of the most well known brands. We understand the business of creating video for web, and are unique in our ability to provide a fully managed service from concept through production to hosting and post-event technical support.

Whilst our scale, capability and facilities have the stature to satisfy major projects for global corporations, we also have the agility and experience to apply best practice to smaller communication & content requirements.

Put simply, we work with you to understand, define, and deliver a successful joint vision for your project and business needs, bringing some of the industry’s best talent to the table, while maintaining excellent value.

Design and development

Our approach towards the aesthetic and interactive design of any project will always strive to be highly creative and engaging for the user. However, we balance this with a high regard for the following 3 areas;

Brand guidelines

We are experienced in adopting and respecting guidelines from clients ranging from major corporate brands to Government departments to academia. We adopt a creative approach and aim to develop inspiring content that works for the target audience without compromising your guidelines

Usability

Usability is a quality measurement of how efficient, effective and satisfying a product is for its user. By adopting best practice techniques developed by usability professionals, we ensure optimum usability in our end products. We incorporate user-centred design throughout the development process by taking an iterative design approach; progressively refining the design solution through evaluation against the user requirements.

Accessibility

We specialize in creating fully accessible solutions even when faced with stringent technical or pedagogic demands, and view this area as an extension to usability. We have extensive experience developing against formal standards, from general guidelines such as W3C's Web Accessibility Guidelines (Priority 1 to Priority 3) to bespoke requirements such as those of specific SEN projects. We apply our vision and experience to all projects, aiming to deliver fully accessible content without compromising the editorial or creative ideal.

Learning styles

Tinopolis has done extensive research into the different ways that people learn and are aware of the different learning styles and theories that form part of current pedagogic best-practice. We adopt a blend of two of the most popular learning models, ‘Myers-Briggs Type Indicator’ and ‘Kolb’s learning style model’, to develop content which takes into account a broad range of learning styles.

Project management

We have rigorous project management processes in place to ensure successful and effective delivery of our products and services. We operate a PRINCE2 project management control process, the key stages of which allow for a cohesive process of development, communication and evaluation from all parties involved. Our Project Managers are all qualified to Practitioner level in this discipline. For shorter duration or more intensive schedules, we can also adopt an AGILE development process

Delivery and quality assurance

We consider the Quality Assurance (QA) part of a project one of the most important in production. It is the point at which the product is tested to ensure that it is both technically problem free and also “fit for purpose” to be used as the client requires. The Tinopolis QA procedure comprises three rigorous test processes; technical review, black box testing and user testing. Only once all 3 levels have been satisfied will we deem the product fit for release and issue the gold version. We favour QA and review processes that involve the end-user, where possible, giving ‘real world’ feedback to sample designs and content
